Initial Backup For Large amounts of data

For our customers who sign up with any package of 50 GB or more with a large amount of data that needs to be backed up initially, BIG Plans Backup will ship out either an external USB hard drive at no extra charge. The USB drive has a maximum capacity of 2 TB, or 2000 GB, with anything higher than that please contact us. Once the data has been copied, simply ship it back using a prepaid shipping label we will provide. Once this data has been loaded onto our servers, incremental backups will allow you to keep it up to date without uploading for hours or days.

1. What shipping method will be used?

The USB drive will be shipped overnight to your location, with a prepaid shipping label for overnight delivery back to us.

2. What if the drive/server is lost or stolen during transit?

Either method supports using the BIG Plans Backup software to do the initial backup, which encrypts your data using a key of your choice, without this password, the data on the drives cannot be accessed.

Will you assist in setting up the intial backup?

Absolutely, when you recieve your drive, you can call us for help in getting it set up.
